Synopsis
Jessie Wallace of EastEnders fame provides a powerful performance in this thought-provoking, romantic drama with Nathaniel Parker, otherwise known as Inspector Lynley. An outspoken single mum falls for a public school headmaster after he gives her ragamuffin son a scholarship place at his school. Only then does she discover it was merely to win a bet.
