Synopsis
A teenage girl wrestles with the shocking revelation that her mother has decided to become a man, and that their contact will be limited until the transformation is complete in this compassionate drama from Australia. Sixteen-year-old Billie (Tilda Cobham-Hervey) has always enjoyed a healthy relationship with her mother. Upon learning that the woman who raised her now plans to become a man, Billie does her best to be understanding as she is sent to live with her father for a full year. During that time, Billie and her mother agree to meet once a week. Meanwhile, Billie secretly begins to explore her own budding sexuality with a pair of older classmates.
