1971
Synopsis
Johanna Hamilton's documentary 1971 explores an incident from the titular year when a group of activists broke into an FBI office, and absconded with a trove of documentation that revealed the extent of the government's involvement in harassing people who fought for civil rights, and opposed the Vietnam War. This material was sent to a variety of media outlets, thereby making the information public for the first time.
